Information about the Mastercourse "Environmental Engineering"

The Institute is co-responsible for the curriculum of the study programme, contributing courses on the principles of ecology and on landscape planning. Through lectures and field trips, students acquire a fundamental understanding of interrelationships within the biotic and abiotic environment as a basic prerequisite for intelligent environmental protection. These are complemented by an introduction to planning methodologies as a fundamental instrument for putting environmental protection measures into practice.

The Institute contributes to the Environmental Engineering Master’s study programme as part of the Traffic course. Students learn practical methodological techniques and examine case studies in order to learn how to assess the requirements and impact of infrastructure projects from the viewpoint of applied environmental planning. In addition, students acquire a fundamental understanding of terrestrial ecosystems and interrelationships between landscape and ecology.
