Mid-term presentations IRD II: Urban Trees as a catalyst for urban transformation

We have finished our mid-term presentation day! The IUSD Intake 13 cohort presented their mid-term results for the Integrated Research and Design II (IRD II) project: "Urban Trees as a Catalyst for Transformation in Stuttgart East".

The students used various data collection and analysis methods to study the area at both macro and meso scales, focusing on aspects such as biodiversity, green space accesibility, water availability and risks, heat stress on streets and buildings, as well as mobility variables and socio-cultural factors.

This phase marks the completion of an extensive desk and field analysis in the Ostheim district and provides the basis for developing strategies to create a more socially inclusive and climate-resilient Stuttgart East.
