In the scope of the ILPÖ Seminar Winterscapes, students engaged with (and even embraced!) aspects of winter that make the season unique, to design and pilot interventions to enhance engagement with nature in cities during the wintertime. This published Teaching Tip outlines the introductory activity of the course, where students observed the same outdoor area over four months and creatively documented and presented their impressions of seasonal changes at their location. This teaching activity was originally conceptualized by Leonie K. Fischer and adapted for the Winterscapes seminar.
