Johanna completed her B.Sc studies in interdisciplinary environmental sciences with a focus on environmental psychology at the University of Koblenz-Landau in 2020. From 2021 to 2024, she completed a master's degree in geography at the University of Freiburg, focusing on the consideration of spatial developments, especially in physical-geographical issues. During this time, she worked in environmental policy and environmental education alongside her studies. After completing her M.Sc degree, she was taken on as a lecturer by the Chair of Physical Geography at the University of Freiburg. Since October 2025, Johanna has been working as a research assistant and doctoral student at the Institute of Landscape Planning and Ecology (ILPÖ) at the University of Stuttgart. Her research interests include the question of how the structural and functional diversity of urban forests interacts with human health and biometeorological stress factors.
