Lecture Series: WATER SENSITIVE MEXICO CITY.

October 16, 2023

In collaboration with the School of Architecture at UNAM in Mexico, an exciting program is being offered in the winter semester of 2023/24, focusing on the design of a water-sensitive Mexico City. In five different neighborhoods, we will delve deeply into aspects such as water recycling and the community's relationship with water. The emphasis is not only on imparting technical knowledge but also on fostering creative design processes. The goal is to raise awareness among participants about the importance of sustainable urban development and empower them to develop innovative solutions for water-sensitive urban areas.

The FA-UNAM Studio, which lasts for one year, consists of two sections: research and analysis from August to December 2023 and design proposals from February to May 2024. The ILPÖ Studio complements the collaboration with urban analysis and proposals. Regular online meetings are planned. Guest lectures on sociocultural, ecological, and design aspects in Mexico City will support ILPÖ students.
