In close cooperation with the LfU Rhineland-Palatinate, the Institute for Landscape Planning and Ecology at the University of Stuttgart is preparing a state-wide study for Rhineland-Palatinate. The study takes up the fact that the active movement of animals, but also the dispersal processes of plants, are linked in many ways to the coherence and continuity of the landscape and that, in the course of climate change, the structural conditions of our landscapes are of enormous importance for the conservation of biodiversity, for enabling adaptation options and for a functioning biotope network.
